About Me:
Hi! My name is RocĂo Chapa. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico and have lived here almost all of my life, except for a year that I lived in Texas. I am 33 years old, happily married with three children. Ruben (10 years old), Alejandro (5 yrs) and Andrea (2 yrs). I have a degree in psychology and a Masters Degree in Education from Buffalo State University of New York. I attended ASFM since Nursery, so this school has been my second home and a very important part of my life. I feel fortunate to have my children study in the same school as I did and even more fortunate to have the opportunity to teach in the place where I once played, learned and met so many special people that are still part of my life today. I believe that experiencing ASFM as a student, a mother and now as a teacher further strengthens my sense of commitment. I started teaching 12 years ago as a computer teacher , after that I substituted for grades 1-5, another year as a PK assistant, two as a Nursery assistant and this is going to be my second year as a Nursery teacher. In my spare time, I've learned to deal with mud, because I love to watch my children and my husband in their favorite sport, motocross. I also like to cook and I recently learned to knit ,so hopefully by the time I become a grandmother, I'll be pretty good at it! I daydream of having my own day care center with a very innovative program for babies and toddlers...
